    SB 158 (Flores) - DRA supports SB 158 which would provide mobile telephony customers, upon their request, with the choice to continue using their existing mobile phone with a new service provider upon completing their current service contract or completing the purchase of their mobile telephone. (April 9, 2007)

    AB 826 (Levine) - DRA supports AB 826 which would direct the CPUC to require telephone corporations to 1) provide customers with the ability to select a single product or service from a bundled package and 2) to notify their customers of this options as other important specified option, disclosures and marketing protections.  (April 17, 2007)

    AB 891 (DeLaTorre) -  DRA supports AB 891, as amended 4/12/07, which would  require telecommunication service providers that advertise or negotiate a contract for service, verbally or in writing, in a language other than English, to provide the potential customer with a translation, verbally and in writing of any documents for service that discloses the key rates, terms and conditions of the contract for service. (April 17, 2007)

    SB 831 (Lowenthal)  - DRA supports SB 831 (amended 4/16/07) which would establish specific consumer protection policies for mobile telephony service customers to ensure a minimum level of disclosure and customer service is afforded to them. (April 17, 2007)
