    Energy Legislation

    • AB 1763 (Blakeslee) – Would make electric and gas corporation monthly bills more user-friendly by adding to them specified cost and usage information, helping ratepayers make decisions to reduce their electricity or gas usage.  **DRA supported AB 1763
    •  AB 2857 (Lieber) - Would prohibit the CPUC from denying the California Alternative Rates for Energy (CARE) program’s 20% discount to eligible low-income individuals that live in a master-metered community but are not submetered.  **DRA supported AB 2857
    • AB 3058 (U&C) - Would require the California Public Utilities Commission to review specified Department of Water Resources contracts that are renegotiated or modified after December 31, 2007 to determine if the proposed cost and administration contract changes are just and reasonable.  **DRA supported AB 3058
