    Cal Water granted temporary rate increase

    CHICO -- An administrative law judge has granted a temporary rate increase to the California Water Service Co.

    Starting July 1, the water rate for Chico customers will increase 3.8 percent until the California Public Utilities Commission can rule on Cal Water's original request to increase rates over the next three years.
