DRA Engages Monterey Peninsula Community to Create An Affordable and Sustainable Water Supply Solution

DRA is facilitating discussions among interests on the Monterey Peninsula in order to explore water supply alternatives at a time when water is becoming increasingly scarce.  These discussions have given rise to regional water supply planning efforts that involve regulated water utilities, municipal water purveyors, local government, environmental groups, and ratepayers.  The water supply alternatives include conservation, enhanced use of recycled water, stormwater reuse, and brackish water desalination.  DRA anticipates these alternatives will yield significant cost-savings and environmental benefits over a proposed seawater desalination plant at Moss Landing.  To learn more about these dialogues, please visit MONTEREY REGIONAL WATER SUPPLY RELIABILITY DIALOGUE website.
