Rule 21
Background

In August 2011, the CPUC established a process to update Interconnection Rule 21 in order to respond to an increase in interconnection requests.

DRA's Policy Position

DRA supports the adoption of Rule 21 Reforms. However, DRA opposes updates that require ratepayers to pay for Network Upgrades and advocates moving the Cost Responsibility issue to Phase 2 in order to fully vet the issue by December 2012.

Current Proceeding Status

A Proposed Decision on Phase 1 is expected in the third quarter of 2012.
A schedule for Phase 2 is not yet set. All issues are projected to be resolved by June 2014.
