California Advanced Services Fund (CASF)

In 2007, the CPUC established the CASF Program as the state's primary funding source for new broadband infrastructure in unserved and underserved areas of California. 



California Teleconnect Fund (CTF)

The California Teleconnect Fund program, funded by a customer surcharge, provides a 50% discount on select communications services (including measured business service lines, T-1, internet access) to schools, libraries, hospitals, and non-profit organizations. 



Net Neutrality

Net Neutrality entails an Open Internet that treats all internet traffic equally regardless of content or source.    



Data on State of the Internet

Akamai, a global cloud service provider, publishes quarterly reports providing insight to global and nation-wide broadband speed trends and rankings that include California specific rankings.
